BRANDING IS EVERYTHING

BRANDING IS EVERYTHING

After conceptualizing and selecting a brand route, a brand visualization can help the client fully envision their new brand.

Not all brands require the same assets, some require large scale graphics, fleet graphics, office graphics, or social media.

A cornerstone of any brand is the Branding guidelines, a clear and concise breakdown of brand assets; Logos, Colors, and fonts.

BUT WHY IS BRANDING SO IMPORTANT???

Branding is important because it helps establish a unique identity for a business. This allows customers to easily recognize and trust the company, differentiate it from competitors, and ultimately influence their buying decisions by creating a positive perception and emotional connection with the brand. A strong brand builds customer loyalty.

Establishing NEW Brand IDENTITY

After three years of being a Pittsburgh-local whole seed company, Alkaline was looking to establish a consistent brand. Alkaline reached out wanting a “radical transformation” for their farm-to package seed-selling business.

Problem: Brand was practically non-existent, consisting only of manilla seed packages, a few hand drawn signs created solely for local farmers markets, and the three women who owned it. Nowhere to go but up.

Goals: Establish an eye-catching brand identity, including logo variations and stand-out packaging. Curate a social media presence that both drives sales and community outreach (coming soon!)

02

Bringing the brand to life with packaging

Inspired by modern design trends, created a cross-functional logo to STAND OUT at local farmers markets. The use of a “funky” font was decided on unanimously and gives the brand its modern and eclectic feel.

Not only would the brand need an eye-catching logo, but would need packaging that makes Alkaline STAND OUT against all other seed producers. Choosing to continue with the modern trend, a solid color with minimal distraction was the conclusion the brand needed.

REINTRODUCING BRAND THROUGH CAMPAIGN ADVERTISEMENT

There’s something to say about keeping things the as they always have been, but that just means you’ll be left behind. Sparrow Tequila did not want to be forgotten, so they came with a proposition to update their logo, through campaigns.

Problem: Brand was stagnant in sales, even wavering some months. Target elements were not attracting younger consumers, the most profitable market for alcohol sales.

Goals: Reintroduce Sparrow Tequila as a festive, yet intelligent spirit. Revamp, update existing elements. Photography campaign to spread through social media and printed advertisements.

02

implementing logo within campaign

The new Sparrow Tequila logo had to be engaging (make the eyes move) and enticing (good to look at). Having previously settled on a Latinx-inspired rebrand, a new font, and adding a few symbols for the company it was finished.

NEW : Intelligent, festive, keeping the serif-forward fonts.

Staying true to the Latinx-inspired rebrand, as previously stated, the photography campaign had to be bold and inviting. With the timely addition of the two new flavors, and being citrus season, it was time.
